Breaks in the rain are for BBQing—the Cube is having a slick BBQ outside Reboot/Hugh Dempster (weather permitting). Come eat! Note the BBQ will end early if we run out of food, so if possible plan to arrive closer to noon.
By the way, volunteers are needed to help with this as well! No experience is required and you get free lunch if you volunteer. If you’re willing to help out with
future BBQs as well, we’ll even pay for your FoodSafe certification. E-mail Grant Harris if you’d like to get involved.
This Friday come to the 2nd CSSS BBQ and Bzzr Garden from 4 - 8pm in the X-wing Lounge! This one will be even better than the last one, with a better tap system so that hopefully there won’t be any lines. We’ll be serving Granville Island, like last time. Come for great food, tasty drinks and good company!
Remember to plan ahead for a safe ride home… use your U-Pass! You’ve already paid for it!
Just in time for the start of term is a barbeque! Our barbeques have always been a popular and culinary success with your friendly neighbourhood CSSS execs behind the grill. Everybody is invited!
Prices are $2 for a burger and 50 cents for a sweet tasting carbonated beverage otherwise known as a “pop”. First year CS students get a free burger upon display of their student ID card and answer to a skill testing question to verify CS student status (okay, we were joking about the last part).
The CSSS is looking for volunteers to help with the running of our BBQs. These are one of our more popular events and we require more volunteers to keep them running. All volunteers will receive a FREE burger (or hot dog) for their trouble. If anyone is interested, please e-mail our VP Social, Sean vps@thecube.ca with your interest and let him know of your availability throughout the week.
