About Scarlet Nguyen: Scarlet is in her junior year studying Computer Science at UBC. Over the past few years, Scarlet has interned at numerous tech companies including Hootsuite, IMI.AI, Bolt, Google, Linkedin, and Slack. She is also planning to join Dropbox as a software engineering intern this summer. On Scarlet’s LinkedIn, you can find many useful resources, motivational posts, and other words of advice about her experiences!
About Sean Rong: Sean is in his final year studying Computer Science at UBC. He has previously worked software internships at Intel, Google and Amazon. He is one of UBC CSSS’s Co-VP External this year, and has been a valuable member of UBC ACM (Competitive Programming), where his team achieved Canadian Site Champion and 5th overall out of 80+ teams in 2019 Pacific-Northwest Regionals. After graduation, Sean will be returning to Google full-time as a software engineer.

About Enrique Moran: Enrique is a fifth year student in biomedical engineering, and has previously worked at Google, Microsoft, and LinkedIn. Last year, he joined a YC-backed startup, Pair Team, as engineer #3 to improve primary care for vulnerable communities in the US. Enrique has been honoured with Kleiner Perkins fellowship, Neo VC Scholarship, and League of Innovators incubation program.
About Parsa Riahi: Parsa is the co-founder and CTO of Dyne, a published Machine Learning Researcher, and a podcast host. At 22 years old, his startup has partnered with Microsoft, raised $2M of funding, filed 2 patents, ranked in the top 5 of 1500 startups in North America, and has grown to a team of 35 all working together to provide AI analytics to the restaurant industry. His research on Neural Architecture Search and experience in Transfer Learning, NLP, and Reinforcement Learning plays a crucial part in creating Dyne’s ML engine that now serves hundreds of restaurants nationwide. He is also hiring, so come apply!
About Jisoo Kang: Jisoo is in her last year at the University of British Columbia pursuing Business Technology Management, in the Human and Social Computing stream. She has worked as a Product Strategy Intern at SAP and later as a Product Marketing Manager Intern at Microsoft and Intuit. She is excited about all things biztech, education, and entrepreneurship. With her front-seat experiences in product strategy & operations, Jisoo will certainly bring fresh perspectives onto the table!
